Check out the amazing transformation that can happen with just one simple second chance! Wally, a small blind kitten saved from a tree, now expresses his gratitude and happiness to his rescuers on a daily basis. Let’s hear it for Wally the kitty!
Nikki, the foster parent behind @myfosterkittens, was alerted by a friend about a sick kitten stuck in a tree in a Walmart parking lot. The tiny feline was in a bad state, with sealed eyelids due to infection. Even though Nikki was at work, she guided the person on how to safely rescue the kitten from the tree.
Later that day, Nikki went to collect the kitten. “Right from the start, he showed a sweet nature,” she shared. When they were finally united, the kitten, named Wally, meowed gratefully from his carrier, as if saying, “Thank you for saving me.” Wally settled into Nikki’s home and happily purred while receiving the care he needed.
After bringing him home, Nikki wasted no time getting Wally to the vet for surgery. Following the procedure, Wally was back in his foster mom’s arms, happily purring and kneading away.
Nikki from myfosterkittens shared that Wally, a kitty born blind due to microphthalmia, had infected eye sockets that required cleaning and surgical closure to avoid complications. Despite undergoing two additional surgical procedures, Wally’s stitches are set to be removed on Friday, bringing an end to his surgical journey.
Nikki from myfosterkittens shared that Wally got his name from the Walmart parking lot, ‘Wally World’, where he was discovered. Wally is grateful for his human friends and shows his appreciation daily.
Courtesy of Nikki from myfosterkittens, we have the delightful Wally who is full of happiness as he dances around with joy! This playful little feline is always seeking attention and affection, spreading love wherever he goes.
“He is thriving and filled with joy, enjoying his playtime to the fullest.
He serves as a remarkable source of motivation for me and many others, showing that disabilities do not define his capabilities,” shared Nikki with Love Meow.
Despite being visually impaired, Wally is able to navigate the world around him using his heightened senses.”
Nikki excitedly shared that Wally will soon be embarking on a journey from Las Vegas to his permanent residence in Charlotte, NC. Wally’s infectious happiness knows no bounds, with his tail wagging like a puppy, making him an undeniably joyful little feline.
